# Forgot wallet PIN

If you've forgotten the PIN used to unlock your Blockstream wallet, **don't worry**. You can still regain access as long as you have your **recovery phrase.**

The PIN is a security feature used to protect access to the wallet on your device, but it does not affect your actual bitcoin holdings or your recovery phrase.

## How to reset your PIN

1. Delete or uninstall the Blockstream app from your device.
2. Reinstall the app from the [official source](https://blockstream.com/app/) (Google Play, App Store, or APK).
3. Open the app and choose **Restore Wallet** during the wallet setup process.
4. Enter your recovery phrase to recover your wallet.
5. During the restoration process, you’ll be able to set a new PIN.

> **Important:** If you [do not have your recovery phrase](https://helpcenter.dxp-frontend.devserver.app/blockstream-app/troubleshooting/lost-recovery-phrase), you will not be able to reset the PIN or regain access to your wallet. Blockstream cannot recover your funds without the recovery phrase.

For your bitcoin's security, store your recovery phrase in a secure, offline location and avoid saving it on digital devices.
