# Enable swaps with Jade

The Blockstream app lets you swap between bitcoin, Lightning bitcoin, and Liquid bitcoin (LBTC) directly from your Jade account in the Blockstream app (mobile only).

1. In the Blockstream app, tap **Transact** at the bottom of the screen, then tap **Swap**.

2. Tap **Enable Swaps** in the **Get More out of Jade** popup panel.

3. **Connect Jade** to the Blockstream app via BLE, USB (Android only). QR Mode currently does not support swaps.
4. **Unlock your Jade** using your PIN.
5. Select **Scan QR** on your Jade, then **scan the QR code** that displays on the Blockstream app.

1. With your mobile device, **scan the QR code** that displays on Jade.

With Jade swaps enabled, you can now:

- [perform an on-chain swap with Jade](https://helpcenter.dxp-frontend.devserver.app/blockstream-app/use-liquid-bitcoin/perform-an-on-chain-swap).
- [receive and send Lightning payments using LBTC](https://helpcenter.dxp-frontend.devserver.app/blockstream-app/use-lightning-bitcoin/receive-lbtc-via-lightning-and-pay-lightning-invoice-with-lbtc).
