# How do I set up a wallet-erase PIN? This feature is especially useful in the event of a physical threat, as you can provide this PIN to an attacker and your wallet will **no longer be accessible via PIN**. It will also appear as if your Jade simply experienced a failure by displaying the message "Internal Error". > **Warning:** If you set a wallet-erase PIN and subsequently enter it upon login, there is no way to regain access to your funds except by restoring using your recovery phrase. If your **Wallet-Erase PIN is ever entered during login**, an "Internal Message" error will be shown and Jade will return to the initialization process.
