# Perform a factory reset

If your Jade is experiencing issues or you want to erase all stored information from your device, you can perform a factory reset.

> **Warning:** Before continuing, make sure you have your recovery phrase written down and that you are confident in your recovery process. If you do not, you will **lose access** to all funds stored in your wallet.

## Method #1: From Boot Menu

Turn on Jade and access the boot menu by clicking (**not holding**) the select button once while the logo screen is showing. Select **Factory Reset** and enter the given confirmation number on-screen to erase all data from Jade.

## Method #2: From Options

Navigate to **Options** → **Device** → **Factory Reset**. Enter the given confirmation number on-screen to erase all date from Jade.
