# Issue Liquid assets with the Blockstream Asset Issuer

[Liquid assets](https://helpcenter.dxp-frontend.devserver.app/liquid-network/faqs/what-are-liquid-assets) are tokens issued on [the Liquid Network](https://blockstream.com/liquid/), which anyone can create. The Blockstream Asset Issuer makes the asset issuance process simple and streamlined and only takes a few minutes to complete.

In order to issue your first Liquid asset, first ensure that you [create a Liquid wallet](https://helpcenter.dxp-frontend.devserver.app/liquid-network/acquire-lbtc/get-a-liquid-wallet) on a platform such as the [Blockstream app](https://blockstream.com/app/). To register your Liquid asset, you will need the ability to add a file to your domain.

Visit the [Blockstream Asset Issuer](https://assets.blockstream.com/) login page and create an account.

After logging in, click **Issue an asset** to continue. You will see your previously issued Liquid assets on this page after you have created one.

Make sure you have your Liquid wallet open, then click **Start** when you're ready. Currently the Asset Issuer only offers Standard Assets, but more options are coming in the future.

Fill in the fields with your desired **Asset name**, **Ticker**, **Domain,** and whether or not your Liquid asset is part of a collection. Agree to the terms and conditions, then click **Next**.

> **Tip:** Click **Asset Issuance 101** in the bottom right corner if you need an additional description of each of these fields.

Next, choose the **Amount** of your asset you would like to issue, along with its decimal precision under **Decimal Places**. At this point, you may also choose to **hide the issuance amount** and decide if you want to create more of your asset in the future using a **reissuance token**. At this point, connect your wallet (if you haven't already) so you can enter a **Liquid [address](https://glossary.blockstream.com/address-bitcoin/)** from your wallet in order to receive your Liquid asset and reissuance token (if applicable).

You will now have the option to **Add an Icon** for your asset to be displayed in Liquid Asset Registry and in registry-enabled Liquid wallets. Make sure to follow the **Guidelines** so that your icon will be approved.

Finally, review the issuance details of your Liquid asset and select **Issue** when you are ready. You may then navigate to your Liquid wallet where you will see your newly issued Liquid asset.

**Issuance complete!** Now, select **Continue to Proof of Ownership** to make sure your Liquid asset is registered and associated with your domain.
